This slide presentation outlines practical experiences of implementing ultraviolet (UV) disinfection in the Region of Waterloo (ROW). It begins with an overview of the Region of Waterloo water district, and then outlines points on groundwater UV that include: rationale for implementation of groundwater UV;description of groundwater UV; and, the future of Groundwater UV at ROW. The Mannheim WTP (MWTP) UV system is presented in terms of a rational for implementation of surface water UV. Topics covered include: ROW UV commissioning realities forgroundwater and surface water; and,MWTP UV Disinfection – the realities ofwater treatment in Ontario.
