Description
This article discusses legislative and regulatory proposals for pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) that have been detected in the drinking water of metropolitan areas. The article discusses PPCPs as emerging contaminants, the emergence of chloroform paralleling the emergence of PPCPs, the arousal of public attention by recent media coverage of PPCPs, efforts to regulate PPCPs in drinking water, and consideration of PPCPs for the draft third CCL (CCL3).
