Description
This paper demonstrates how the Consolidated Water Conservation Database (CWCD) is used as a key tool in managing and coordinating the City of San Diego’s varied water conservation programs. This relational database includes information regarding the distribution and installation of water saving devices, customer behaviors and reasons for public participation, information on program effectiveness, comparisons of historical water usage to current consumption, and customer feedback for quality control. Basic upkeep and maintenance of the database are discussed and program summary reporting is outlined.
