Description
This paper discusses an approach for integrating people and technology. It describes a process to: identify how an organization will manage and care for new technology so the technology can provide intended benefits and how to create a SysteMAP — a technical system management practices manual — to document decisions and provide a road map for the future. Emphasis is on the participative process. Key elements of the approach are: defining and solving problems in separate steps; achieving consensus; and broad owner organization involvement.
