This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of United Water New York (UWNY). The water supply need is outlined, along with the 2006 rate case and the project driver of a Public ServiceCommission Order. An overview of the Haverstraw Water Supply Project is presented, along with a sampling program to characterize Hudson River source waterquality prior to siting and constructing a watertreatment facility. A pilot study was done by the town of Haverstraw to collect data and optimize various treatment processes in order todetermine cost effective, environmentally sustainable, andenergy efficient processes.
