Description
This powerpoint presentation begins by providing the objectives of this research, including: review past arsenic and M/DBPresearch plans and assess theincorporation of outcomes into thefinal rules; and,understand how research effortswere and were not utilized inregulatory development. The approach included the following: identify and catalog each research objective includingoriginating research plan,description of the objective, assigned priority level,assigned funding (where available), individual projects under each objective, andanticipated timeframe by project and objective; and,research tasks were extracted directly from eachresearch plan summary table. Results of the studyincorporate results presented for each Rule (Arsenic Rule, Stage 2 Disinfectant/Disinfection Byproducts Rule and Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule) and included the following:overall,category,priority, andtime frame; and,results complete for all but U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (1997).for M/DBP research plan which is pending Includes tables, figures.
